Apple Silicon Mac dock · Research-based guide

iVANKY FusionDock Max 2: Is It Right for Your Mac?

A 23-port Thunderbolt 5 dock for a permanent Mac desk. Your chip and monitor arrangement matter more than the port count.

Research checked October 12, 2026 · Not personally tested · ASIN B0G34RFDG8

Quick answer

Consider Max 2 if you have an Apple Silicon Mac that supports your planned native displays, and you need one desk dock for Thunderbolt peripherals, wired networking, and up to 140W rated host charging. It cannot increase your Mac chip’s native external-display limit.

Listing price snapshot: $399.99 (was $499.99) on October 12, 2026. Check today’s price and the exact included kit on Amazon.

Compatibility: iVANKY specifies Apple Silicon Macs. Windows laptops, Chromebooks, and Intel MacBooks are excluded; the listing’s “Intel Certified” wording does not change that.

The three-part compatibility check

Your exact Mac chip

Find the model in About This Mac. Some base M1, M2, and M3 Macs natively support only one external display; a dock does not override that limit.

Your screens and cables

Check Apple’s external-display limit and the resolution, refresh rate, and cable for every monitor. Three outputs do not mean three screens on every Mac.

Your host connection

iVANKY describes Thunderbolt plus a second display path and supplies dual USB-C and TB5 host cables on its own store listing. Confirm the Amazon ASIN’s included kit and your available ports.

HostBuying decision
Apple Silicon base chipCheck the exact generation and Apple display limit. Do not buy to turn a one-display Mac into a three-display Mac.
Apple Silicon Pro / MaxMultiple displays may work. For M1–M4 Max triple-display setups, iVANKY specifies two rear Thunderbolt outputs plus HDMI. Verify your exact Mac, screens, and cables.
Windows / Chromebook / Intel MacBookThese are listed as unsupported hosts. Choose a dock specified for your computer.

What you get for the premium

iVANKY lists three Thunderbolt downstream ports, HDMI, 2.5Gb Ethernet, SD and microSD readers, USB-A, USB-C, and audio connections. For a permanent desk with displays, external storage, and a wired network, that is a more specific reason to buy than “23 ports” alone.

The listed host charging limit is 140W, with a separate 30W peripheral charging port. Your host and cable determine the usable rate. A built-in fan is part of the design; SWG has not measured its noise. The advertised 120Gbps display boost is not a measured SSD transfer rate. A TB4 Mac works at its own bandwidth limits.

When to choose something else

  • Your Mac only supports one external display and your goal is three native external displays. This dock does not use DisplayLink to bypass Apple’s limits.
  • You need a portable adapter for a few ports. Compare USB-C hubs →
  • Your priority is an internal NVMe SSD slot. The WAVLINK TB5 + NVMe review → covers a different setup with its own host and display limits.
  • You cannot verify your macOS version or included cable kit. iVANKY’s FAQ says macOS 11.5+, while its specification table says 15.1+; confirm the requirement for your exact configuration before paying.

How we researched this guide

We compared the supplied PartnerBoost listing for ASIN B0G34RFDG8 with iVANKY’s specifications and display troubleshooting. This is a source-based assessment; SWG has not physically tested display stability, charging, fan noise, throughput, or compatibility. The manufacturer’s store kit may differ from the Amazon listing.
